Erika Vogel

This is Erika Vogel’s first time singing with Sounds of Stow. She was hailed as a “[standout]” by the Boston Globe for her performance of Purcell with the Handel and Haydn Society. Recent solo performances include Vivaldi Gloria and cantata Ostro picta armata spina, Bach Cantata 68 with Emmanuel Music, scenes from Lully Cadmus and Semele with New Vintage Baroque, performances with the Handel and Haydn Society, and with Rumbarroco Latin Ensemble.

Opera and concert appearances include Bach Magnificat with the Handel and Haydn Society at Symphony Hall, Handel Israel in Egypt with the Richard Eaton Singers and Alberta Baroque at Winspear Centre, premiere of Primosch The Call with Emmanuel Music, Boismortier Op. 5 Spring with Les Bostonades, Eurillo in Cavalli Artemisia with Helios Early Opera, Calisto in Cavalli La Calisto with Harvard Early Music Society, Fairy 2 in Purcell Fairy Queen with Handel and Haydn Society, Fairy 1 in Purcell Fairy Queen with Montreal Baroque Festival, Adele in Die Fledermaus, Galatea in Handel Acis and Galatea, Valetto in Monteverdi l’Incoronazione di Poppea, Mozart Vesperae Solennes de Confessore, and Coronation Mass, Charpentier Messe de Minuit and Vivaldi Gloria conducted by Robert Ingari.

Erika loves cooking, thrift shopping and traveling in her spare time. She also loves a good scotch.
