Lucas Guzman, 18, from Weston, Massachusetts, is a senior at The Roxbury Latin School. He studies with Dana Varga and sings with New England Conservatory Prep Youth Chorale and Camarata. He is also a High School Soloist Scholarship recipient with Handel and Haydn Young Men’s Chorus and a Choral Scholar at St. Paul Parish in Harvard Square. Lucas first discovered his love of singing as a choir boy at St. Paul Choir School. He has won awards including first place in the High School Division of the Metrowest Opera competition, first place in the American Protégé International Voice competition and third place in the Peter Elvins Vocal Competition. His most memorable experiences are the Young Artists Vocal Program at Boston University Tanglewood Institute and his Carnegie Hall solo last December. Lucas will be attending Harvard College this fall.
