We are so pleased to welcome back our friend Jessica Cooper! She last brought her musical gifts to Sounds of Stow in March 2013, singing the role of Iphis in Handel’s dramatic oratorio Jephtha. Her expressive emotional depth had the audience leaning in to follow the story of the courageous and innocent young heroine.

Later that year, Ms. Cooper then went on to co-found (with fellow Purcell devotee Bill Chapman) The Henry Purcell Society of Boston. Committed to bringing historically-informed performance of Purcell’s music alive in collaboration with many other area players and singers, the Society’s concert launch was praised by the Boston Musical Intelligencer as a “smashbang debut” to a “packed house.”
