Jason has been recognized as an accomplished composer, pianist, sound designer, and vocalist since an early age. He studied composition and piano at Texas Tech University before coming to Boston for further study at Berklee College of Music, where he focused on composition, systhesis and sound design under Dr. Richard Boulanger. Jason’s compositions for more than 40 short films, documentaries, and features, have received multiple awards and honors. His film scores have been featured in prestigious venues, including the Tribeca Film Festival, SXSW, LA Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival and others.

Since 2003, Jason’s work as the Senior Sound Designer for Sonic Implants, Sonivox, and InMusic has earned industry acclaim, including Electronic Musician’s Editors’ Choice Award for Best Sound Design, Muse for Best Sample Library, and Most Comprehensive Orchestral Sound Design for the Sonic Implants Complete Symphonic Collection, in which he directed and recorded musicians from the Boston Pops, Boston Symphony, and Boston Philharmonic.

Currently, Jason lives outside of Boston with his two beautiful children, continues composing and performing, as well as designing music software for Fishman Transducers. He loves to spend time watching movies and making art with his children.
